(build 05)sample build
A sample build: how we would connect paid traffic to the pages it lands on and to what happens after the click. It is an illustration of our approach for a typical business, not a client project.
- the problem
- Paid traffic was optimised on its own, separate from the landing pages and what happened after the click.
- built for
- Visibility across the whole funnel and one loop that keeps improving it.

Audience research
We study who buys and why, from CRM data, sales calls, reviews and search terms, and write down the few messages worth testing.
- 02
Creative
Ad copy, images and short videos are made for each message, with AI tools for variants and a person deciding what goes live.
- 03
Google / Meta
Google Ads and Meta campaigns are structured around those audiences and messages, each with a clear budget and the one number it is judged on.
- 04
Landing page
Each campaign points to a page that matches its ad, so the promise in the ad is the first thing the visitor sees.
- 05
CRO
Heatmaps and session recordings in Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar show where people stop, and we run tests on headlines, forms and offers.
- 06
CRM
Leads land in HubSpot or Zoho with their source attached, and lead stages are sent back to the ad platforms as offline conversions.
- 07
Attribution
GA4 and the CRM are joined in BigQuery or Looker Studio so spend can be compared with qualified leads and revenue, not just clicks.
- 08
Retargeting
Visitors and leads who did not convert see follow-up ads that match where they stopped, built from GA4 and CRM audiences.
(02)what we would measure
how we would know it works.

You need ad spend by campaign, tracked sessions with their source, and CRM records that show which leads became customers. In practice that means Google Ads and Meta cost data, GA4 with consistent UTM tags and click IDs, and HubSpot or Zoho lead stages. Joined in BigQuery or Looker Studio, they let you compare spend with qualified leads and revenue, not only clicks.
They tell the ad platforms which leads turned into qualified leads or customers, so bidding can favour people like them. When a lead moves stage in HubSpot or Zoho, the stage and the original click ID are sent back to Google Ads and the Meta Conversions API. Campaigns then learn from lead quality instead of from form fills alone.
Retargeting shows follow-up ads to people who visited or enquired but did not convert, matched to where they stopped. GA4 audiences cover site behaviour, such as viewing pricing without enquiring, and CRM lists cover leads that stalled at a given stage. Both sync to Google Ads and Meta, with the message changed to suit each group.
