(build 02)sample build

A sample build: how we would replace hand-assembled reports for a business whose numbers live in ad platforms, the CRM, the website and sales sheets. It shows our approach for a typical case, not work for a named client.

the problem
Business data was spread across ad platforms, the CRM, the website and sales sheets, and reports were assembled by hand.
built for
One source of truth, faster reporting and decisions made from the same numbers.

  1. 01

    Google + Meta + CRM + Website + Sales

We list every source that matters (Google Ads, Meta Ads, HubSpot or Zoho, GA4 and the sales sheets) and agree what each one is trusted for.

  2. 02

    Data pipeline

Scheduled connectors, using tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte or n8n, load each source into BigQuery daily without anyone exporting a file.

  3. 03

    Unified data

SQL models in BigQuery join the sources on shared keys such as campaign, lead and customer, with one agreed definition for each metric.

  4. 04

    BI dashboard

A Looker Studio or Power BI dashboard shows spend, leads, pipeline and revenue on the same page, filtered by channel, campaign and period.

  5. 05

    Automated reporting

A weekly summary is emailed or posted to Slack automatically, with an AI-written note on what changed and alerts when a number moves outside its usual range.

(02)what we would measure

how we would know it works.

Consider this build when someone spends hours each week copying numbers between tools, and different teams bring different figures to the same meeting. It suits businesses that already have the data but cannot see it in one place.
  • Hours spent building reports
  • Data freshness
  • Metric definitions agreed and documented
  • Decisions traced to dashboard data

(05)questions

this build, answered.

You need a way to load data, a place to store it and a dashboard to read it. A common setup uses connectors such as Fivetran, Airbyte or n8n to pull from Google Ads, Meta, GA4 and the CRM, BigQuery as the warehouse, and Looker Studio or Power BI for the dashboard. Many businesses already pay for some of these.

You load each source into one warehouse and join them on shared keys such as campaign, lead and customer. In BigQuery that means SQL models with one agreed definition for each metric, so spend, leads, pipeline and revenue line up by channel and period. The dashboard then reads from those models instead of from each platform separately.

Yes, an AI model can draft a short note on what changed each week, as long as it works from the cleaned numbers in your warehouse. We use OpenAI or Claude models to compare the week with the usual range and flag movements worth a look. The note goes out by email or Slack, and the numbers it cites link back to the dashboard.
